WEEKLY BLOG

Next week is SAT’s week! Everyone is nervous but extremely excited about them. Early morning walks have been planned to help oxygenate everyone’s brains.

On Monday no one was at school (except, maybe, the teachers!) It was a Bank Holiday.

Cricket Club has officially started for Years Five and Six. Last week, unfortunately, it had been rained off. Year Fives have it on Tuesday after school while year Sixes have it on Wednesday, after school. Also Years 3&4 have it on Thursday lunch time.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the amazing website!

WEEKLY BLOG

The past few weeks we havent been able to do a weekly Blog because we have had a holiday and a few technical problems.

Yesterday Yr. 6 went to do their Junior Citizen event. This involved going to Ark Royal in Redhill. When we were there we met some of the police, fire, energy, railway and environmental and water work companies. It was very enjoyable as well as teaching us about safety.

Our school has now been entered in a national virtual bike ride. Every person who cycles to school (including parents) scores some virtual miles and there are prizes for best in the area and best nationally.

Welcome back to school and it’s a new

week here at Reigate Priory. Year 3 have had Greek Day, where they all came into school dressed as Greeks. They had a visit from some Greek experts, who showed the year 3’s lots of shields, swords, and armour.

Zizou Corder (Also known as Louisa Young) is coming this Friday to talk to our school about her books.

Some of them are Lion Boy, Lion Boy: The Chase, and Lion Boy: The Truth.

Our school production is going to be called Blockbuster, with scenes from James Bond, Hairspray, Oliver Twist, Pirates of the Caribbean, Annie, and lots more.

This is a very exiting week. It is Science Week!!!!! We have lots of experiments to do and lots of thing to learn - it will be a fun week. In assembly Mr Goodall showed us the effects of gravity and told us that on the moon if you had a elephant and a feather and you dropped them at the same time they will land at the same time.

But year six are having Science Week spread through different days. I am very excited, and I am sure you are too. Friday gives you the chance to come dressed a scientist.

Happy Valentines Day!
